HackBarna · 19 and 20 September 2026 · Norrsken House Barcelona

AI wrote the code all weekend. Could the teams defend it?

We sponsored the third edition of HackBarna, the hackathon that ran alongside AI Summit Barcelona. 150 builders had 30 hours to make something, and our challenge track asked them to show it would hold up.

Production Ready: ship AI code you can defend

The brief fit on one slide. AI has been writing your code all weekend. Can you defend it?

Whatever an agent generates, the person who ships it answers for it. Teams could point Norma at their repository and check the code as they built.

The prize: a mechanical keyboard for each member of the winning team, a Norma vest, and 12 months of Norma Pro.

Bye-Bye Scammer

An iPhone app that listens to an incoming call and tells you whether it’s a scam. It checks whether the voice is AI-generated, then scores what the caller is asking for: the fake call from your bank, the sudden push into crypto. You choose how sensitive it is.

The team built it in about 30 hours and used Norma on the code. The HackBarna jury gave them third prize overall, for the impact of the idea.

The demos

Every team, on stage

HackBarna streamed the final demos and the prize-giving live on Sunday 20 September. Bye-Bye Scammer’s pitch starts at 51:56 and the Quality Clouds award at 2:08:06.

“We also used Quality Clouds a lot. We improved our score like 20%.”

Two days later

We ran a workshop at AI Summit Barcelona

On 22 September we took the same question to Workshop Room B at the World Trade Center: 80 minutes and six tasks, from a prompt with no context to an agent checking its own work.
